Stepping Stones teachers are highly qualified to enhance each child’s growth and development in a stimulating atmosphere of warmth and understanding. Our low teacher to student ratios (1:6) allow your child to develop as an individual as well as part of a group in a happy, safe, and nurturing environment. All of our teachers are First Aid and CPR certified, and we have teachers who speak Arabic, French, Korean, Mandarin, Spanish and Tagalog.
Your child will interact with each teacher at Stepping Stones throughout the day. During group play times each teacher takes time to read, play and talk with all of the children. Your child will also have 2 teachers assigned to his or her classroom, depending on your child’s age.
Lisbeth, our cofounder, is our executive Director and has strong daily input into the direction of our program.

He belives, "A good teacher not only is able to educate effectively, but is also able to understand their students and guide them through their challenges. Considering that the first five years of a child's life are the most crucial, they need a positive role model consistently in their lives. This is what inspired me to become a teacher." Trever started working in early childhood the summer of 2012 in Castro Valley and has been continuing his education to further his career as a teacher at Cal State East Bay. He has lived in the Bay Area his entire life and currently lives in San Francisco. For fun Trever is either riding his bike and hiking through national parks or he's at home studying or cooking.
